StellarRAD Systems - Saint Louis Missouri In 1979, Telcom Services of Chesterfield Missouri started their Telesystems division to write and support telephony based applications for the independent LEC market. And in 1985, they introduced the first automated mapping system designed for that same market, Telemap. The Telesystems group, currently the StellarRAD 400 group, and Telemap group, currently StellarMAP, along with the Teledata group evolved and grew through a series of mergers, spin-offs, and acquisitions into StellarRAD Systems, L.L.C.
History Detail
- 1981 - Telcom Services starts a software group to serve the LEC
market.
- 1987 - Graphic & Data Solutions (GDS) spins off from Telcom
Services.
- 1995 - GDS merged with GLA International, a consulting and design
company. GLA was part of the Brooks Fiber Group.
- 1998 - Brooks Fiber Properties and GLA are purchased by
WorldCom.
- 1998 - GLA senior management acquires GLA from WorldCom.
- 2000 - GLA starts Everest Connections, a broadband over-builder
and creates StellarRAD Systems to develop and manage
Everest's OSS applications.
- 2002 - StellarRAD senior management acquires StellarRAD from
Everest.
